Tiziana Rossetto is a Professor in Earthquake Engineering in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (CEGE) at UCL where she co-directs the multi-disciplinary Research Centre, EPICentre, (www.ucl.ac.uk/epicentre ). Tiziana is an expert in the assessment of the seismic and tsunami vulnerability of buildings and through collaborations with other disciplines, her goal is to develop new science and techniques to holistically evaluate risks from natural hazards and provide guidance for their effective mitigation. She currently has active research projects in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Turkey and New Zealand and Tiziana has been a consultant for several organisations (e.g. for World Bank, ICF International, Arup, Guy Carpenter, XL Catlin, Ebbwater), looking at natural hazard impacts on infrastructure, their mitigation and inclusion in building regulations.
